SUPERCARS championship leader Will Brown has confirmed he will join Cam Waters in the NASCAR Cup Series field at Sonoma Raceway next month.
As pre-empted by V8 Sleuth, Brown will steer Richard Childress Racing’s #33 Camaro with backing from Mobile X.
It’s the entry which Brown’s former Erebus Motorsport teammate Brodie Kostecki drove at Indianapolis last August.
Brown developed a relationship with RCR last year and impressed while filling in for Kostecki in the World Racing League final in December at Circuit of The Americas.
Absolutely incredible opportunity to be able to head stateside and race at the highest level in America with @RCRracing!! 😁🇺🇸 Can't wait to get to Sonoma and have been working hard to prep, but first we've got Supercars in Perth this weekend! pic.twitter.com/rWfzuIV8d8

At Sonoma, he’ll have some familiar competition in the form of Supercars peer Waters, who this week was announced to debut in the June 9 race with RFK Racing.
“Absolutely incredible opportunity to be able to head stateside and race at the highest level in America with @RCRracing,” Brown wrote via social media.
“Can’t wait to get to Sonoma and have been working hard to prep, but first we’ve got Supercars in Perth this weekend!”
Brown sits 71 points clear of Triple Eight teammate Broc Feeney atop the Supercars standings.
Round 4, the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint, starts with practice tomorrow.
