A 14-CAR field will be in force at the fourth round of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series at Race Tailem Bend this weekend.
Privateer racer Iain McDougall returns to the series for The Bend with his Challenge Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS TCR, run with assistance from Melbourne Performance Centre.
A series debutant in 2022, McDougall was a TCR regular last year. His most recent appearance was at the opening round of the 2024 season at Sandown, where he notched up a top-10 finish in Race 3.
McDougall’s addition maintains a stable grid number for the TCR fleet, with Jude Bargwanna missing from The Bend after making his series debut in the last round at Phillip Island.
Points leader Ben Bargwanna carries a seven-point margin over second-placed Zac Soutar, with reigning champion Josh Buchan 22 points off the lead in third place but set to move back into his title-winning Hyundai for the first time this season.
The TCR running at The Bend gets underway with a pair of practice sessions on Friday ahead of qualifying and racing on Saturday and Sunday.
