V8 SLEUTH IS HIRING!
Published 28 April 2015
Think you have the right blend of writing ability and motorsport knowledge? Apply now!
THE V8 Sleuth team is a small and active one and now the opportunity has arisen for an entry-level opportunity – a ‘Junior Sleuth’ if you like!
V8 Sleuth’s parent company, AN1 Media, is a respected organisation with a strong foothold in the Australian motorsport industry and a Managing Director in Aaron Noonan with over 15 years experience in a variety of prominent roles.
On-going growth sees us require an enthusiastic, creative, motivated addition to the team looking to develop and hone the skills required to establish a career in the Australian motorsport media.
This is the perfect entry-level position for someone with strong writing skills, passion for the sport, a brilliant work ethic, an ability to meet deadlines as well as a high level of attention to detail.
A solid working knowledge of Australian and world motorsport and strong writing skills are absolute pre-requisites for an applicant to be considered. We set the bar very high in terms of standards.
This is not a role for a casual race fan. The right candidate will have the right blend of motorsport appreciation and professionalism for a role aimed very much at those wanting to start out in the industry.
We have a range of high-profile clients who engage us for a variety of services – freelance writing, PR, social media content, historic research and statistical analysis.
These clients include race categories, teams, manufacturers and prominent sponsors and brands in the sport across many levels of Australian motorsport, predominantly in V8 Supercars.
AN1 Media produces the V8 Sleuth website and accompanying social media content and also controls significant motorsport photo archive libraries.
Exposure to race events will initially be limited with a focus on tasks in our southeast Melbourne office.
Computer competency is necessary with knowledge and practical experience of word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing software and online programs.
Basic video editing and production and graphic design skills would be a welcome addition, but not compulsory to be considered.
This is a full-time position with some weekend work required. Salary dependant on experience and skill levels.
If this sounds like you, please send your resume and details to email@example.com by May 12, 2015.
