SPECIAL PIECE OF JASON RICHARDS V8 HISTORY ON MARKET

Emotional Dunlop Series 2011 Adelaide race winner one of two Dunlop Series cars placed on market ...
THE Dunlop Series opener on the streets of Adelaide at the Clipsal 500 is fast approaching and plenty of teams and drivers are sorting out their deals for the new season.
That also means there’s some interesting hardware popping up on the market and V8 Sleuth today has advertised two very interesting cars for sale from DVS driver Jim Pollicina.
The ex-GMR Commodore has special significance given it’s the very car that the late Jason Richards drove to victory in Race 2 of the opening round of the DVS in Adelaide in 2011.
View below the video of Richards winning in Adelaide in 2011.
The Kiwi, who passed away due to a rare form of cancer in December of that year, was a popular part of the V8 Supercar paddock and his victory in his one-off appearance in the DVS that weekend was wildly popular with the industry and fans alike.
Richards and Greg Murphy had raced the very same car to fourth place in the 2007 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 for Tasman Motorsport and finished as top Holden in that year’s classic.
Pollicina is also selling his ex-Ford Performance Racing Falcon FG that he raced in the Dunlop Series last year.
Steve Richards raced the ex-FPR Falcon in 2009 and 2010 before being sold to Tony D’Alberto’s team and raced by the former DVS champion in 2011 and 2012.
It has competed in the Dunlop Series for the last two years in the hands of Nick McBride (for D’Alberto’s team) and Pollicina last year.
The Falcon is available complete (less engine) with a massive spares package included.
The sales of the two cars are being looked after by Dean Lillie, who has re-established his Ravage Raceworks business in Geoff Emery’s old factory in Narre Warren in Melbourne.
Both cars are available to inspect at the Ravage workshop by prospective buyers.
Lillie, a long-time team manager and car preparer of cars in the Dunlop Series, will look after Pollicina and Emery’s racing programs in 2015.
Lillie’s business is available for tuning work, fabrication, race car preparation and the like and is in the process of setting up a machine shop as well to make a completely self-sufficient operation.
Pollicina will not compete in the Dunlop Series though has a VF Commodore under build for him to race in the ManChamp production car series.
Emery will drive one of the Erebus Motorsport Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS GT3 racers in the Australian GT Championship alongside Max Twigg.
