Six-time Bathurst winner Larry Perkins special guest in next episode of new 7mate series …
SHANNONS Legends of Motorsport continues on 7mate this weekend with special guest, six-time Bathurst 1000 winner Larry Perkins.
The renowned team boss, driver and engineer joins Neil Crompton and the Shannons Legends of Motorsport team to look back at a career that took him all the way to the pinnacle of world motorsport – Formula 1 – as well as the top of the toughest Mountain in Aussie racing, Mount Panorama.
The second episode in a 12-part series was filmed in front of a live audience at the National Motor Racing Museum at Mount Panorama, Bathurst.
The Hall of Famer sits down to talk us through all sorts of topics married up with the fantastic tape library archive of the Seven Sport vault.
Mark Oastler takes an up-close look at Perkins’ 1995 Bathurst-winning Commodore VR that he and Russell Ingall drove to victory in one of the biggest fight backs in race history.
Aaron Noonan returns too with some more golden vision from the vault, much of it unseen in many years and unearthed from deep in the Seven Sport library.
There’s plenty of familiar old vision as well as some rare gems so tune in for the series that celebrates Aussie motorsport’s golden era this Saturday, July 26 on 7mate.
Times are varied in different markets and are as follows:
Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide – 5.00pm local time
Brisbane, Perth – 3.30pm local time
Replays will air on 7mate on Wednesday July 30 (3.00pm in all markets) and Wednesday August 6 (11.00am in all markets).
